The Dollar Tree is making changes to the start of 2022, and it might want to change their name too.

The company said on Tuesday that it is raising the prices of most items from $1.00 to $1.25. They say the change is being made due to challenges in keeping prices low "during a period of rising inflation."

Will Dollar Tree become Dollar and a Quarter Tree?

The company says that keeping prices of items at $1 has hurt profits and has already forced it to stop selling certain items. Raising the prices will allow the stores to bring those items back and offer customers more options, they say.
