A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly tried to steal $700 in lobster tails from a grocery store while riding an electric shopping cart.

According to Coral Gables Police, David Piloto entered the Publix grocery store, hopped on the electric shopping cart and headed straight to the seafood section. There, he ordered 100 lobster tails from an employee in the seafood section for $6.99 each.

The employee fulfilled Piloto's request and gave him the 100 tails in a cardboard box and loaded them into the electric shopping cart.

Piloto then made a bee-line towards the exit with "no intention of paying," according to police.

Police say the store manager confronted Piloto and blocked him from exiting. Piloto then allegedly shoved the manager with the box of lobster tails and yelled, "I have a weapon and I'm not afraid to use it" multiple times.

Shortly after, police arrived and placed Piloto under arrest. The arrest report says he was charged with “attempted strong arm robbery” and “simple battery.
