The George Washington Parkway is partially closed in one area due to the historically high water levels in the DMV region on Friday.
According to multiple sources, all lanes of the GW Parkway near Tulane Drive in Fairfax County, VA is closed in both directions. Motorists are being advised to seek alternate routes.
Elsewhere, Annapolis, Maryland saw a 4-foot rise of water due to the tide and wind pushing water into the capitol. Similarly, there are reports of widespread flooding in downtown Baltimore as well.
