This Armed Robber Picked the Wrong Marine to Mess With and Regrets It

A Marine Corps veteran made a daring move and was able to disarm a man during an armed robbery incident that took place Wednesday.

At a Chevron gas station in Yuma, Arizona around 4:30am, security footage shows the Marine standing in the store when three individuals begin to enter and at least one of them with a gun.

Suddenly, the Marine acts quickly and disarms the man pointing the gun. He was able to pin him to the ground and reportedly detained him until Deputies arrived to the scene.

A statement from the Yuma County Sheriff's Office read in part, "When Deputies contacted the customer, who previously served in the United States Marine Corps, and asked how he was able to take control of the situation, he stated, ‘The Marine Corp taught me not to [mess] around.'"

The suspect was identified as a juvenile and has been charged for alleged armed robbery and aggravated assault. The other two suspects fled and are still on the loose. No injuries were reported.
