Neighbors: Brian Laundrie, Parents Went on Trip with New Camper

Neighbors of the house where Brian Laundrie and his parents live in North Port, Florida say they saw the three of them take a family trip with their new camper in the days after Gabby Petito was believed to have been killed.

Charlene and William Guthrie, who live right across the street, claim the Laundrie's packed up their new camper and took it on a weekend-long camping trip.

The Guthries say they only recently moved into the neighborhood but it has quite busy around town since they moved in. They also provided some details on the days after Petito went missing.

Charlene says, "We didn't know it was Gabby's, we just assumed it was [Brian's] van. We just thought they had come back from wherever. We didn’t know they were on a trip. We assumed they went back to their house or wherever they got a house … We didn’t know much about them at all."

William said he was outside doing some yard work when he saw the Laundrie's hooking up the camper to their pickup truck, and says it seemed odd that they were going away on a trip with such a small camper.

Officials ruled Gabby's death a homicide earlier this week, with more information currently being investigated. A search for Brian is still underway.
