FBI Say They Believe Gabby Petito Found in Grand Teton National Park

After authorities discovered the remains of a person at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming while searching for missing 22-year-old Gabby Petito, the FBI has confirmed the individual found was indeed Petito.

Authorities began searching the area they believed Petito went missing on Saturday. A coroner was called to the scene on Sunday at around 2pm local time.

The FBI held a press conference to reveal the findings. They say the body found is consistent with the description of Petito.

Petito's last confirmed communications with friends and families came from the area of the park. Her family reported her missing on September 11.

The whereabouts of Gabby's boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, are currently unknown. Authorities are currently searching for him in Florida, where he is "hiding."
