A Texas lawyer who dressed up as Michael Myers from the Halloween movie franchise was briefly arrested and let go after causing a stir in Galveston.
On Monday, police received a call regarding a masked man with a knife with blood on it walking on the beach in the wake of Hurricane Nicolas' landfall. When officers showed up, they detained the man, Mark Metzger. They learned that the blood on the knife was fake and cited Metzger for disorderly conduct and released him.
Apparently this wasn't the first time Metzger pulled a stunt like this.
He told local media, "I just don't think they appreciate it that much. I guess there's some people out there that don't have a sense of humor or, you know, can't please them all."
He says even though he's done similar things before, this was the first time he encountered police.
"It felt like a scene out of Scooby-Doo after they handcuffed me and pulled the mask off, like, 'I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling Karens, you know?"
"If I had to do it all over again, I absolutely would."
