Washington Football Team Addresses "Sewage" Water That Leaked on Fans

Video footage from the Washington Football Team's home opener went viral on social media after a "sewage" pipe started leaking onto a bunch of fans.

A few hours after the incident took place, the Twitter account for FedExField posted a statement to clear up what actually happened!

"1. It was rain water - 2. Its has stopped - 3. The fans are in suites enjoying the game - All water under the bridge."

The team claims it was a pipe connected to a rainwater storage tank, which broke. So thank goodness, it wasn't actual sewage water, just some stagnant rainwater. So that probably explains why the person in the video thought it was sewage water.

I'm guessing the fans that ended up in the suite got some hot towels to wipe off?
