MMA announcer and podcast host Joe Rogan is floating the idea of suing CNN after he says it was falsely announced on the network that Rogan had taken horse dewormer to treat COVID-19.

On Tuesday's podcast, Rogan says, "Do I have to sue CNN? They’re making s*** up. They keep saying I took horse dewormer. I literally got it from a doctor. It’s an American company. They won the Nobel Prize in 2015 for use in human beings, and CNN is saying I’m taking horse dewormer. They must know that's a lie."

Rogan was offended after CNN reporter Jim Acosta claimed he was taking the horse dewormer and other unproven treatments for COVID.

"The podcast host Joe Rogan, he came down with COVID. He says he’s been taking the livestock dewormer ivermectin as well as other treatments that people talk about on the internet and so on. Doesn’t have any effect on COVID, obviously," Acosta said in an interview with Anthony Fauci on Sunday.

Rogan announced last week that he tested positive for the virus and that he was receiving multiple different treatments including malaria drug ivermectin and monoclonal antibodies.

The announcement caused a stir in the media over ivermectin, which is an anti-parasitic drug that is used to treat both humans and livestock. Multiple stories published were falsely using ivermectin as a cause of an influx of hospital patients in Oklahoma and Mississippi.
