Insane Clown Posse are calling it a career in the touring department, citing Violent J's severe health issues.

At the Gathering of the Juggalos festival over the weekend in Ohio, J told the crowd that their next tour would be their farewell tour.

"We’re gonna do one more tour next year around the world. We’re gonna do the United States, and then we’re gonna go to Europe, Canada and Australia. It’s gonna be a farewell tour."

Violent J, whose real name is Joseph Bruce, says the decision was made after discovering he has severe atrial fibrillation aka AFib which is a condition that leads to the heart beating extremely rapidly and irregularly.

Bruce was put on numerous medications and had a procedure to remove scarring from his heart.

The upcoming tour will be at a much slower pace than normal, playing 3 to 4 shows a week.

ICP say that even though they will cease touring, they will still perform live in some capacity and will continue to make music.

"We’re gonna do a show somewhere every month — one show a month is our plan," he said. "I want to make it clear: making music is not affected in any way, shape or form by anything going on with Shaggy or myself health-wise."
