A Florida man was arrested and charged with felony battery after an alleged unprovoked attack took place at a 7-Eleven convenience store in St. Petersburg last Wednesday.

Police say 31-year-old Le'trail Tresalus threw a 15.5 oz container of Tostitos salsa at a victim which struck them so hard on the back that the container broke.

Tresalus is also facing a charge of theft after he allegedly stole a Choco Taco novelty ice cream from the 7-Eleven.

The victim suffered a minor laceration and "visible swelling" after being hit with the salsa. According to the police report, the incident was recorded on the 7-Eleven surveillance cameras.

Tresalus had prior battery and theft convictions on his record so the charges were enhanced to felonies.
