Man Punches Albuquerque Mayoral Candidate After Taunting with Flying Dildo

A mayoral hopeful in Albuquerque, New Mexico was assaulted at a campaign event after being harassed with a sex toy attached to a drone while he was on stage giving a speech.

According to the report, this marked the second time the "Dongcopter" has harassed a New Mexico politician in recent days.

Sheriff Manuel Gonzales III was the subject of the attack, who brushed it off as the work of "political operatives." He was unharmed.

A few videos partially captured what took place as Gonzales spoke to about 70 people. The "dongcopter" was seen hovering around the Revel Entertainment Center and approaching Gonzales when a worker at the venue confiscated it. That's when 20-year-old Kaelan Dreyer tried to get it back.

A scuffle ensued and Dreyer threw a punch at Gonzales' arm while calling him a "tyrant."

"He tried to take a swing at me and he glanced across my arm. He struck me and I just took a step back. It wasn’t anything I was very concerned about. I’ve been in a lot worse situations," Gonzales said.

Gonzales said after the incident that he believes it was a coordinated effort against him and believes it was done on the behalf of the incumbent mayor. "I was trying to answer one of the lady’s questions that was with this group of four that were political operatives for somebody, I believe possibly the other campaign," he said.

Tim Keller, the current mayor denies any involvement. "To suggest we were behind it is pathetic and the kind of desperation that has marked Manny’s troubled campaign," he told reporters.

A video posted to Twitter shows the "Dongcopter" in action at a church where a congressional candidate was visiting.
