With the increasing numbers of adults in the US having their COVID-19 vaccinations and the infection rates going down, many concert venues are planning their return to full capacity if they have not done so already.

One concert is making headlines because they are charging one price for customers who do have their vaccinations, and a different price, fifty times higher, for those who are unvaccinated.

A show featuring the punk rock bands Teenage Bottlerocket, Make War and Rutterkin at VFW Post 38 in St. Petersburg, Florida will be doing just that.

Tickets are selling for $18 in advance or $20 at the door if you provide a vaccination certificate. Otherwise, tickets are $999.99.

The show's promoter, Paul Williams, who came up with the idea says, "We're just trying to do a show safely. And they should go out and get vaccinated to protect themselves and their families and their community."

The band Teenage Bottlerocket was hesitant at first to be onboard with the plan, but now have given it their full support. "We're all vaccinated. We encourage everyone to get vaccinated so we can see you in the pit," says singer/guitarist Ray Carlisle.
