What Derek Chauvin Wrote on His Hand Right Before Murder Conviction

Derek Chauvin was seen writing on his hand shortly before he was found guilty of the murder of George Floyd in court on Tuesday.

According to TMZ, Chauvin wrote his lawyer's phone number on his hand in anticipation of having his bail revoked - which is what happened following the jury finding him guilty on all three counts. Eric Nelson, Chauvin's lawyer, confirmed the report.

Chauvin now faces up to 40 years behind bars following the death of Floyd in May 2020. He was found guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

His sentencing will come in 8 weeks and he is expected to be held in protective custody or could serve time out of the state of Minnesota.
