A gender reveal party stunt went terribly wrong when a small plane that was part of the festivities nosedived and crashed into the water, resulting in the deaths of both occupants.
The party was aboard a boat and watching as the two planes maneuvered above the Nichupte Lagoon near Cancun this week before one of the planes abruptly descended and crashed into the sea.
One person died during rescue efforts while the other was rescued alive but died while receiving first aid from paramedics.
