World's Longest, Tallest, Fastest Monorail Coaster Set to Open This Year

After being delayed a year, the world's longest, tallest and fastest monorail rollercoaster is set to open at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. Aptly named Jersey Devil, the ride is over 3,000 feet long and features a drop of 130ft, speeds up to 58mph, and an 87-degree drop.

The coaster was originally slated to open in 2020, but coronavirus put a halt to that. The ride also will host four trains, each carrying 12 passengers in a single-file row.

Six Flags is set to reopen on March 27th, but it's unclear exactly when Jersey Devil will be open for riders with the park saying "later on in 2021." The park is about a three-hour drive from DC, and a little over a two-hour drive from Baltimore.
