A woman from Fredericksburg has been arrested and faces charges after police say she struck a male acquaintance with a wooden baseball bat, ran him over with her vehicle, and fled the scene.
Police say they responded to the report of a pedestrian having been struck by a vehicle on March 6 at approximately 10:00 PM at the Leeland Commuter Lot. An officer reportedly found a man with a "severe leg injury."
The victim claims that he had made plans to meet a woman, 30-year-old Jennifer St. John of Fredericksburg. He says when the two met up, she got out of her car and started hitting him with a wooden baseball bat.
He says he got out of his vehicle and St. John went back to her vehicle and then attempted to run him over. He claims he jumped out of the way and fell to the ground, and St. John drove over his legs and then fled the scene. The victim says he was able to get back to his truck and then drove himself to the Leeland Commuter Lot where he called for help.
Police found the accused on March 9th and placed her under arrest. According to the report, she is being held without bond.
