Lead guitarist and founder of the heavy metal band Iced Earth Jon Schaffer is wanted by police for his involvement in the storming of the US Capitol building earlier this week.
Rioters stormed the building while the Electoral College votes to seal victory for President-elect Joe Biden were being confirmed by Congress.
Schaffer was photographed as one of the many people who entered the building unlawfully and the photo is being distributed by the Metropolitan Police in Washington, D.C. as a Persons of Interest PowerPoint presentation.
Schaffer previously attended a rally in November in support of President Donald Trump. "They will go down. They're messing with the wrong people, believe me," he told a German newspaper covering the rally.
Schaffer was a founding member of Iced Earth in 1984 and is now the sole remaining original member of the band.
