Eddie Hassell, perhaps best known for his role in NBC's Surface, has died at the age of 30 after being shot, according to TMZ.
Eddie was reportedly killed during a carjacking in Texas.
Surface only lasted 15 episodes and aired in 2005 and 2006. His last role was in Oh Lucy! in 2017, according to IMDB.
His other acting credits include The Kids Are All Right, Family Weekend, Til Death and others. Hassell also had appearances in Bones, Southland, and 2012.
He was also a published author, having written a self-help book called "Someone Should Tell You: Startling Revelations and Truths to Help You Understand and Improve Your Life."
