The streaming service Twitch has been getting notoriety over it's somewhat ridiculous DMCA takedowns for copyrighted material and has claimed its latest victim.
Herman Li, guitarist for the British power metal band DragonForce was suspended by Twitch this week for the "unsanctioned use of copyrighted music under the auspices of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act" for playing his own music.
Instead of fighting Twitch, Li decided to move on to YouTube instead.
He had been a major supporter of music streaming on Twitch, even encouraging fans to reproduce music from a few of his band's albums.
Twitch is under scrutiny for its aggressive copyright policies which offer creators no means of disputing or appealing bans and suspensions.
