A Florida man was arrested and given multiple charges after authorities say he stole a woman's mail wearing only his underwear.
On Thursday, September 3rd, police responded to a call from a homeowner in Hawthorne.
According to the police report, the woman says she saw a man wearing only his underwear taking mail out of her mailbox. She asked the man what he was doing and he reportedly began yelling incoherently and attempted to attack her while she was in her vehicle.
The man, later identified as 64-year-old David Dunaway, hit the woman with pieces of stolen mail as he swung at her inside the car. The woman began to drive away from Dunaway but he chased her. The homeowner claims she keeps a handgun in her car and used it to point it at Dunaway to keep him from trying to attack her again. Dunaway reportedly then ran off in the direction of where he resides.
Dunaway was arrested and charged with burglary with assault or battery and resisting an officer without violence and is being held on a $60,000 bond.
