Tom Morello Announces Photo Memoir 'Whatever It Takes'

To call Tom Morello's musical resume "impressive" would be an understatement. He co-founded Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, and Prophets of Rage; has collaborated with everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Wu-Tang Clan, and started a solo project, The Night Watchmen, too. With such a rich history, it's no surprise the famed guitarist is publishing a photo memoir.

On Tuesday (August 4), Morello announced Whatever It Takes, a book that not only highlights his life as a musician, but also as a political activist (he did study political science at Harvard after all), via Instagram.

"Over the past couple years I’ve been hard at work putting together an incredibly comprehensive photo memoir of my life as a musician & activist titled WHATEVER IT TAKES and I’m proud to announce that it will be coming out this October," he captioned a video teasing the project.

The book will be available in two editions: bookstore, and a signed edition that's limited to 2,000 copies. "Presented in a Solander box, the edition includes an exclusive 7" vinyl and a Little Red Songbook, a booklet of songs and chord charts from The Nightwatchman," a description from Genesis Publications reads.

Whatever It Takes can be pre-ordered here. See Morello's post below.
