The Recher Theatre, once was of the top rock music venues in the Baltimore area during a stretch in the 2000s, closed in 2013 and was converted and renamed Torrent Nightclub.

Later this year, Recher Theatre will return and will be called "Recher 2.0."

The venue held only about 700 but hosted some of the biggest names in rock music in its heyday, including the likes of Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Judas Priest, Third Eye Blind, Papa Roach, Linkin Park and The White Stripes, and well-known local bands Good Charlotte, All Time Low, and O.A.R just to name a few.

Owner Brian Recher says the plan is to open Recher 2.0 this fall but says he will ultimately defer to state and local health order issues before reopening.
