Washington Capitals star Alexander Ovechkin and his wife Nastasiya announced on Wednesday morning that their second child was born with an Instagram post of them together in a hospital.
The caption was written in Russian, but translated by Google reads, "Thank you, my beloved @nastyashubskaya, for our charming baby! I am the happiest !! I love you very much! Ilya Aleksandrovich Ovechkin, welcome to this beautiful world, our boy!"
In August 2018, the couple's first child, Sergei, was born.
The NHL recently announced the 2020 season would go straight to a 24-team playoff, should the league be able to play games.
