A customer at a Costco recorded an encounter with a manager who kicked him out of the store and took his shopping cart on the grounds that he was not wearing a mask inside.
The man reportedly posted the video to his Instagram in protest to the situation after exclaiming in the video that he wasn't wearing a mask because he woke up in a "free country."
The manager, Tison, tells the man that it's Costco policy that all customers and employees must wear masks inside the warehouse for their health and for the health of those around them.
Costco issued a policy that "all Costco members and guests must wear a face covering that covers their mouth and nose at all times while at Costco" that began on May 4th.
The video sparked a debate on social media, with some siding with the customer and others siding with the manager.
