Maryland Could See Snow This Weekend... Yes, Snow in the Month of May

Hello. It's the month of May. Flowers have sprouted. Trees are green. All of that's fine.

Yeah, the weather has been a bit cool for this time of year. But parts of Maryland could see snow this weekend. Yes, snow.

According to multiple weather reports (1, 2, 3), western Maryland could see as much as 3" of snow accumulating when a cold front sweeps through late Friday night into Saturday morning.

As cold air rushes in behind the weather front, it's possible that precipitation turns from rain to snow depending on how quickly the cold air is able to catch up to the weather front.

Should this cold air be quick enough to come into our area, snow flurries are possible "as far east as Frederick, northern Montgomery, Loudoun and Baltimore counties" according to WUSA9.

2020 has been a trip, man.
