Wendy's Has Started Removing Burgers from Menu Due to Meat Shortage

Where's the beef?

Customers at a number of Wendy's restaurants in the US are saying that menu items including beef, namely hamburgers, are no longer being offered due to a meat shortage that has started to effect the supply chain.

Many meat-processing and packing plants have shut down over COVID-19 concerns by either government shutdowns, layoffs, or cases of the virus reported at them.

One Twitter user posted a handwritten sign posted to the entrance of one Wendy's that reads:

"We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience, we are currently experiencing issues with our meat processing supplier and are unable to serve beef products. We are happy to serve chicken and side items!"
