A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a verbal argument with his mother turned violent.
Police say Adrian Yan of Saugas, California punched his own mother because she hid toilet paper from him during the shortage caused by the coronavirus lockdown.
According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Shirley Miller, "Apparently the family disturbance had started over an argument about toilet paper. [Yan’s mother] said that she had been hiding it because he was using too much.”
Adrian apparently was so mad that he punched his mom in the face. She would decline medical treatment. Yan was arrested and charged with battery.
Miller added that the police department has seen an uptick in calls related to domestic violence during the lockdown.
