Local News Segment Shows Residents Are Not Playing Around with Coronavirus

Local residents are taking all of the precautions after it was reported that an employee of Treadwell Elementary School in Memphis, Tennessee came into contact with someone who tested positive for the Coronavirus.

After the news was made public, parents began showing up to Treadwell Elementary and Middle to take their children out of the schools.

"I know this is very serious. So, I’m just going to make him a doctor's appointment and get him checked out," said one parent.

"My main concern why no one contact us, sent out an email, call us, but if my son acts up at school they will hurry up and call me,” the parent said. “But if it is something serious, they won't call us, and this is terrible."

FOX 13 ran a segment showing the measures that other parents were taking with their children who attend the two schools. One parent can be seen spraying a teen with disinfecting spray.

A nearby resident was also interviewed and is seen wearing "two garbage bags," a medical mask, a plastic bag over her head and plastic bags around her shoes.

It's clear the Coronavirus is causing real panic in local communities.
