Job Applicant at Maryland Wendy's Reportedly Tries to Stab Manager: Police

A Virginia man was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened and tried to stab a district manager at a Maryland Wendy's restaurant.

Court documents say that 23-year-old Xavier Robinson entered a Wendy's near Wheaton Mall in Montgomery County at 11:30am in late January and inquired about possible employment.

A district manager allegedly told Robinson to return the following day where a hiring manager would be available to conduct a formal interview with him. Robinson apparently took offense and sent him into a rampage and he yelled profanities at the district manager.

Robinson then reportedly made physical contact with the manager, who tried to then show him the door to leave. But Robinson forced his way back inside the restaurant, drew a knife and began swinging it at the manager. After some commotion, Robinson allegedly sat down in a corner and repeatedly said to the manager, "I will cut you."

Montgomery County Police officers arrived and detained Robinson. He is scheduled to appear in court in early April.
