Maryland's Most Expensive Home Is This Potomac River Mansion in Bethesda

A 11,000 square foot mansion in Bethesda is currently Maryland's most expensive home currently for sale. It is located on MacArthur Blvd. and boasts one of the best views of the Potomac River.

The house is currently listed for $17.5 million and has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and several half-bathrooms. "It's very private. Most people don't even know it's there. It's up almost like a driveway off of MacArthur Boulevard. Unless you knew this little street was there to take you up to the house, you would never see it from the road," says listing agent Sassy Jacobs.

The home also features its own gym, a full size outdoor swimming pool, a wine cellar, multiple bars, game rooms and a gigantic parking area in the front of the property.

"Every room has these incredible views. It looks west, so it gets a sunset where all of the Virginia houses look east, so it's a really unique property," says Jacobs.

The house was constructed in 2013 and took two years to be completed. "It's hard to comp out this house because there's no other house like it on this side of the river. The house is incredible, but where it is situated is why it is priced [the way] it is."
