Burger King Is Selling a Sandwich that Is Just Fries on a Bun 🍔

If you've ever been hammered drunk and wished you could eat a hamburger but instead of meat it was just french fries, Burger King has you covered. Well, at least if you are in New Zealand.

If you remember, Burger King offered a burger topped with french fries back in 2013 but it flopped massively. Now, people in New Zealand can get a sandwich called the Chip Butty that is a hamburger bun with french fries and ketchup and mayonnaise. It sells for NZ$2 which is roughly $1.29 USD.

A New Zealand news outlet offered a review of the sandwich, saying, "It had a good amount of mayo and sauce and a cross-section revealed an evenly distributed amount of chips. But, for me, the timing was all wrong. It should be a private meal, a secret meal, and probably a drunk meal."

Another reviewer was less kind. "There’s no such thing as a bad idea unless the idea is to ask people to pay for a few fries inside a bun with a splash of ketchup and mayonnaise... Yes, $2 is cheap for a piece of food. But it’s a high price to pay for something that shouldn’t exist."
