Instagram Model Sends Nudes for Australia Fire Donations, Raises $500k

An Instagram model has raised what she says is over $500,000 in charity for relief for the fires in Australia. How, you ask? The model, 20-year-old Kaylen Ward, offered to send one nude photo of herself per $10 donated to one of a list of charities she selected. The person making the donation would first make a donation, take a screenshot of the receipt, and send it to Ward in exchange for the photo(s) of her.

Ward's Instagram account was disabled for "sexually suggestive content" including "posting sexually suggestive photos or other content," and "soliciting sexual services." The original post on Twitter (NSFW Warning) has gotten over 130k likes at the time of this writing.

Due to the sheer number of people who donated in order to receive the photos, Ward enlisted the help of four other people to go through and verify that all of the DMs she was getting were of legit donations.

Ward, who calls herself "The Naked Philanthropist," says, "I was seeing all the posts on Twitter about the Australian fires and I was really concerned there wasn't a lot of media coverage and not a lot of people donating."
