The Largest Bob Ross Painting Exhibit Ever Is Coming to Loudoun County

The largest ever public display of Bob Ross paintings is coming next week and you won't have to go far to check it out.

At the Franklin Park Arts Center in Purcellville, VA starting September 10th until October 15, 24 original Bob Ross paintings that he created during tapings of The Joy of Painting will be on exhibit. It's free to see the paintings.

A few pieces of Ross' works are visible at his permanent gallery in Florida, where Ross lived, and two exhibitions have display his work before. But the upcoming display in Loudoun County will be the first solely dedicated to Ross' paintings.

In addition to the works on display, three workshops lead by Bob Ross-certified instructor Sandra Hill will be conducted for people who want to learn how to create their own landscape paintings in the vein of Ross.

Last week, the Smithsonian Musuem of American History acquired four Bob Ross paintings, however the museum says they have no plans to put those on display.
