A Slayer-Branded NASCAR Car Makes Its Race Debut Next Week

🤘 Slayer is coming to NASCAR.

At Bristol Motor Speedway for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Saturday, the thrash metal band's logo will appear on a black car with streaks of blood and barb-wire, naturally.

The driver of the #54 car, J.J. Yeley, tweeted a photo of the design and said, "That's right fans!! @Slayer is going to be on my @RickWareRacing @nuclearblastusa #54 next week"

Slayer bassist/vocalist Tom Araya says, "It's exciting and awesome that Rick and the boys are wearing the Slayer banner making us a part of NASCAR history!"

"NASCAR racing and Slayer have a lot in common. Both are extremely fast, intense and aggressive. I can think of nothing more rad than seeing the Slayer logo on Rock's car with JJ behind the wheel. I'm sure Disciples of everyone involved will be completely stoked on the bond between these two fierce entities," adds guitarist Kerry King.

Slayer is currently on their final tour which ends on November 30th in Los Angeles.
