A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly ditched his naked wife on the side of a highway after a beach trip, lit her car on fire and slapped a witness.
55-year-old Donald Morgan of Pensacola was charged with battery and arson.
Police say they responded to reports of a fire and found Morgan and another man who Morgan allegedly assaulted. The victim told police that Morgan poured gasoline inside the vehicle and set it on fire. The man says Morgan put the fire out shortly after with a hose then slapped him in the face when he got near Morgan. The man responded by pinning Morgan to the ground until police arrived.
Morgan reportedly failed to respond to deputies questioning him. Upon further investigation, they were able to find and contact Morgan's wife who claimed she was dumped on the side of a highway with no clothes and flagged down a car to drive her to her sister's house.
Morgan is being held at the Escambia County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
