An Australian woman was looking for some self-help after splitting from her husband. So she treated herself to a "Rampant Rabbit," which is a sex toy.
34-year-old Nadia Bokody, from Sydney, says, "I became obsessed with using it and the ease and speed at which it allowed me to feel pleasure again after months in a sexless marriage. It was incredibly liberating and empowering to really take control of my sexuality in that way for the first time in my adult life."
But it appears Nadia was having a little too much fun. After using the "Rampant Rabbit" for a few weeks, she developed pain in her pelvic area. It became bad enough that she went to the doctor to figure out what was going on.
The doctor ran a test to determine if Nadia had an STI, but the results were negative. After asking a few more questions, Nadia confessed to using around "half-a-dozen times a day" and using the highest power setting.
"That's when I realized the pain had been the result of me over-using my vibrator! It was equally parts embarrassing and hilarious," Nadia says.
Despite the mishap, Nadia says the experience hasn't stopped her from self-pleasure and has opened her mind to using different kinds of toys. "Sex toys are a great way to explore new fantasies and sensations, both on you own and with a partner," she says.
