If you are a Netflix subscriber, you can expect to see a $1-2 increase in the cost of your monthly subscription starting in May.
Netflix announced the price increase back in January with the claim that the increased revenue will help them continue to provide more television shows and movies.
The basic plan for Netflix will go from $8 per month to $9 per month.
The standard plan will go from $11 per month to $13 per month.
The premium plan will go from $12 per month to $14 per month.
In recent years, Netflix has invested heavily in their own movies and shows, many of which have been critically acclaimed. This past year, Netflix productions won three Academy Awards and 23 Emmy Awards.
