I'm not going to say I am the biggest fan of the reboot or recreation of something which was a classic and bring it back or even re-purpose it. That was me up until May 2018.
My stance, however, has changed...well...it hasn't on the re-purpose practice. The 2010 version of The Karate Kid probably should have not have seen the light of the day. BUT...bringing back the original cast of 1984's "The Karate Kid" and making it a 10 episode series "Cobra Kai" and seeing where Daniel and Johnny are in present day was actually pretty awesome. I am already looking forward to season two of that.
What will this new show featuring the original cast of "The Sandlot" focus on? Is Benny "The Jet" still playing ball? Are Squints and Wendy still running the pharmacy in town. I was going to pan the idea completely but like with all things, I'm going to give it a chance. Who knows, it will surprise the heck out of all of us. The tv series has been signed on to one of the streaming services (not sure which one) for two seasons.
What do you think? Let me know!
