Kristen Hyman, a New Jersey sheriff's officer, has been fired due to her failure to disclose that she had appeared as a dominatrix in bondage films, according to the Associated Press.
Days before graduating from police academy this past June, the Hudson County Sheriff's Department suspended Hyman after it was discovered that she failed to disclose her appearance in the films, which were shot between 2008 and 2012.
Hyman went by the name "Domina Nyx Blake" and appears in a number of videos that can be found on the sites ClubDom.com and PornHub. According to one source, she can be seen in the videos kicking naked men in the testicles, choking a man in a swimming pool with her legs, and putting her heels on a man's face in a leather mask.
A judge rescinded the suspension, allowing her to be sworn in to the department. Hyman was put on paid administrative leave until her hearing went to court. She was apparently offered a deal to keep her job if she passed a psychiatric exam to prove her past did not indicate she would use the opportunity to abuse suspects on the job. Hyman argued that she never appeared naked in any of the videos, never performed any sex acts in them, and that the acts depicted were consensual by all parties.
A hearing officer made the decision on February 7th that Hyman would be fired.
