Jane's Addiction Unveils 'Ritual de lo Habitual' Anniversary Concert Film Trailer

Jane's Addiction are celebrating the 25th anniversary (which was in 2015) of the release of their signature album, Ritual de lo Habitual with a set of special releases including a concert film.

The band released a trailer for the concert film in which they performed the album in its entirety along with other Jane's classics. Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins joins in on drums for part of the set along with original drummer Stephen Perkins.

Guitarist Dave Navarro told Billboard that it was a challenge to play the songs again:

"In preparing for the tour, I had to re-learn quite a bit of the album. It was inspiring to undo some of the rules we have become used to in out later years and get back in touch with a more expansive and unorthodox approach. Staying in this mindset made for an extra special celebration tour and we were oddly able to become our own inspiration... The students teaching the masters."

The film is set to be released on August 4th. Ritual de lo Habitual Alive at 25 will also be available on CD and vinyl.
