Alternative rock supergroup A Perfect Circle announced they have signed a new worldwide record deal and that fans should expect a new album soon.
In a press release from BMG, band founder Billy Howerdel said, "We just signed a new record deal with BMG! Looking forward to sharing new music with you soon. New APC-2017!"
A Perfect Circle formed in 1999 and has released three studio albums, the last being 2004's eMOTIVe which a mostly-covers record. A greatest hits compilation Three Sixty was released in 2013 and featured one new track, "By and Down."
The band went on hiatus in 2005 and returned in 2010, playing live sporadically since. The band is planning a full 22-date tour this Spring, their first North American tour since 2011, with possibly more dates to come.
The band currently consists of Howerdel, Maynard James Keenan (Tool, Puscifer), Jeff Friedl (Devo), Matt McJunkins (Eagles of Death Metal), and James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins).
