Hamilton: An American Musical, the wildly popular musical which debuted on Off-Broadway in 2015, is coming to Baltimore.
The Hippodrome Theatre tweeted the announcement, saying, "Finally, we're THRILLED to announce @HamiltonMusical is officially coming to Baltimore in the 2018/19 season!"
The play made it to Broadway in August 2015 at the Richard Rogers Theatre and has since been produced in Chicago and the UK among other places.
In 2016, Hamilton set a record for the most ever Tony nominations with 16, winning 11 of those, including Best Musical and Best Original Score.
The play also won a Grammy award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2016.
The Hippodrome Theatre originally opened in 1914 and seats 2,300.
