BBC News shared the story of this happening the other day in Italy! An elephant from the circus decided to take a stroll to a nearby supermarket and people who were driving saw it all happen. According to the article, elephants can smell things from up to 12 miles away! He probably got a whiff of everything and said, "Hey, I'm running out to get lunch. I'll be back!"
