Insurify has released their list of the cities with the rudest drivers, and according to their data, the state of Virginia has five cities in the top 10... and 9 in the top 20.

Insurify says they based their rankings on a database of over 2.5 million insurance applications. Insurance applications require drivers to provide where they live and include accidents and moving violations. Using the prior incidents, Insurify ordered driving violations from the most rude to the least rude. The most rude forms of driving, they say, are failure to yield violations, failure to stop violations, improper backing, passing where prohibited, tailgating, street racing and hit-and-runs.

Each city was then ranked using the number of violations in proportion to the number of drivers in each city that can be classified as an "urbanized area" with populations of at least 50,000 people.

Here are the top 10:

  1. Pocatello, Idaho
  2. Caldwell, Idaho
  3. Alexandra, Virginia
  4. Portsmouth, Virginia
  5. Roanoke, Virginia
  6. Woodbridge, Virginia
  7. Logan, Utah
  8. Boise, Idaho
  9. Greely, Colorado
  10. Ashburn, Virginia

Hampton, Richmond, Newport News, and Virginia Beach also made the top 20.

Have you ever been the victim of a rude driver in these cities?
