The Back to the Future DeLorean is on Display at the National Mall

So a couple of weeks ago, the stars of Back to the Future were in Washington DC at Awesome Con.

Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox made a rare appearance together at the yearly comic con.

This week, the OTHER star of the 80's comedy/sci-fi classic is in our Nation's Capital as part of the National Historic Vehicle Register program. It will be recorded and permanently archived in the Library of Congress.

The car has been on display all week on a glass box right near the National Air & Space Museum and the National Gallery of Art. (Fun Fact: BTTF was originally titled "Spaceman From Pluto")

Visitors over the Labor Day holiday got an up close and personal look at the original "A" car that was used when Marty McFly went back to 1955 thanks to Doc Brown.

The exhibition is part of the Hagerty Drivers Foundation’s partnership with the U.S. Department of the Interior, Historic American Engineering Record and Library of Congress archives.
