Definitely not the title they want -- but Florida once again led the world in shark attacks in 2020.
Last year, the U.S. reported 33 unprovoked shark attacks. That's about 58% of the total number of unprovoked shark attacks worldwide.
Of those 33 ... 16 of them were in Florida (8 in Volusia County).
The International Shark Attack File said it investigated 129 total alleged shark attacks worldwide in 2020.
