President Donald Trump has pardoned former top White House aide Steve Bannon among dozens of others with only a few hours remaining in his presidency.
Bannon was charged in 2020 with defrauding thousands of donors who gave money to help build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
A statement from the White House described the charges Bannon faced as "stemming from his involvement in a political project" and added, "Mr. Bannon has been an important leader in the conservative movement and is known for his political acumen."
Others included on the list of pardons: the Trump Organization's longtime chief financial officer Elliott Broidy, former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, and rapper Lil Wayne.
