The Inn at Little Washington, the DC area's only 3-Star Michelin rated restaurant, is looking to help diners feel a little less distant when they are allowed to dine-in again.
When The Inn plans to open its doors to guests on Friday, May 29th, the tables will be packed despite half-capacity restrictions that will be in place. That's because mannequins will be seated at tables that would otherwise cause the restaurant to break the half-capacity restriction.
Chef Patrick O'Connell says the unused tables will feature mannequins wearing "vintage, 1940s-style outfits." The Inn is working with Arlington's Signature Theater and Design Foundry to build the "sets."
Tasting menus at the restaurant are $248 per person, with recommended wine pairings extra.
