John Frusciante made his return to the stage for the first time since it was announced he rejoined the Red Hot Chili Peppers in December, performing with Jane's Addiction and Anthony Kiedis and Flea from the Peppers.
The two bands appeared at a memorial show for Andrew Burkle in California. Frusciante jammed with Jane's Addiction on "Mountain Song," marking the first time he has ever played with former Chili Peppers guitarist Dave Navarro on stage.
Frusciante's band members Kiedis and Flea later took the stage to perform a few RHCP hits with Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins on drums.
The Chili Peppers are headed out on the road this year, playing mostly festival dates in the US and Europe. The band is also currently working on a new record with Frusciante, his first with the band since 2006's Stadium Arcadium.
